Been listenin to tha mixtape for a few daze… this project makes it evident that “Willie B”has improved and matured both as a lyricist and musician.
One such improvement, coming from a person who’s watched him evolve from day one, can be seen in the theme or concept of the mixtape. The composition of a record worthy of salute flows from the title track to I want yo girl.
Although I have a personal affection for the more pious side of the genre… where artists use the mic & platform to encourage listeners to pay homage to the real King(Jesus), as opposed to themselves, it cannot be denied that in his lane- Willie B is among the most talented.
